About the Course

In this short course, you will learn how to Identify the scope, the different sectors and responsibilities of the financial services industry. This includes being able to recognise external elements that influence the financial services sector.

The course will also cover relevant legislation within the financial services sector, ethics, environmental sustainability and triple bottom line principles in work planning, including the ability to analyse, evaluate and check relevant documents including reports, policy documents, operational manuals, and calculations; and discuss your findings with relevant stakeholders.

You will learn the importance being a role model and supporting the team to identify problems, provide feedback and encourage them to participate and to take responsibility in tasks to ensure there is no impact on performance.

You will also learn how to effectively manage your time and resources by planning and prioritising tasks, adjust to changes in technologies and work procedures in a timely manner, and seek personal and professional development opportunities ensuring you are complying with competency and licensing requirements (if any).

This course can be taken as part of the Certificate IV in Accounting, Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, or the Diploma of Accounting.
