About the Course
If you aspire to, or currently have responsibilities in managing the budget and finances of a medium to large scale project, this course is for you.
You will learn how to determine the project costs and requirements identified in the work breakdown structure, with input from stakeholders and guidance from others, estimate project costs, develop a project budget and a cost-management plan to ensure the clarity of understanding and ongoing management of project finances.
The course will also teach you how to monitor and control project costs such as implementing agreed financial-management processes and procedures to monitor actual expenditure against budget, select and use cost-analysis methods and tools to identify cost variations and evaluate alternative actions, implement and monitor agreed actions to maintain financial objectives, and provide accurate and timely financial reports.
This training program will also cover how you would conduct appropriate activities at the end of a project, and how to review project outcomes to determine the effectiveness of the processes used to manage the project finances.
This short course can be taken as part of the Diploma of Project Management.
