About the Course
If you aspire to, or currently have responsibilities in managing the procurement aspect of a medium to large scale project, this course is for you.
You will learn to determine procurement requirements, establish procurement processes, conduct procurement activities, as well as to implement and monitor procurement activities.
The course will also teach you how to identify procurement requirements as well as establish and maintain agreement procurement management plans. You will also learn how to obtain information from suppliers capable of fulfilling procurement requirements, determine or adopt establish selection processes and selection criteria and communicate to vendors, and obtain relevant approvals for procurement processes to be used.
This training program will also teach you how to identify and act according to probity and project governance constraints, communicate agreed proposals and/or specifications to prospective vendors to ensure clarify of project objectives, solicit vendor responses according to proposal requirements, evaluate responses and select preferred vendors according to current legal requirements and agreed selection criteria, and negotiate with preferred contractor or supplier to agree on terms and conditions of supply.
This short course can be taken as part of the Diploma of Project Management.
